We believe that consistent, high quality is the most important feature for all Dutch Cocoa products. Computerized and manual quality tests are conducted throughout the process to monitor and control all important elements, which influence the finished product. Chemical and physical parameters are defined for each strategic point in the process in order to guarantee our specifications. Our highly skilled and well-trained production personnel perform many of these quality checks. This direct involvement in product quality results in a motivated production team fully committed to our quality standard.

Our Quality Control begins long before production with selection of the best available cocoa beans. There are specific requirements for nearly every application, hence the chemical and physical properties of our raw materials must be evaluated and monitored. Flavor and taste of these beans are critical, particularly for those special products, which have been developed in close cooperation with our customers.

 

Bean selection and achieving the proper blend is a skill, which takes years of experience to develop, and requires constant attention. Direct involvement in product quality results in a motivated production team fully commited to our quality standard. This includes participation in our sensory evaluation panel, and performance of many quality checks throughout the production process.

Since 1992 our quality assurance system has been certified providing our customers with an independent assurance of quality meeting highest international standards. Food safety is our first priority. A stringent food safety program in accordance with HACCP has been incorporated within the ISO quality system. As a result, food safety risks are reduced to an absolute minimum.
